DVD 5.1 channel audio?

DVD 5.1 channel audio?
I just recently found out that I can play DVD movie discs in the car and it does very good, sound is amazing. I was wondering if anybody knows if the car is able to play 5.1 channel audio or a way to find out. I read the Owners Navigation Manual and the most relevant info I got is
It would be amazing to be able to play 5.1 audio DVDs 
Audio: This DVD player can play liner PCM, Dolby Digital and MPEG audio format DVDs. Other decoded types cannot be played.
