DAE experience a 2-3 sec. delay for engine to kick in going from 0 (Sport Mode)?
Just wondering if anyone else here experiences a 2-3 second delay for the engine to kickstart when you press on the gas.
My scenario: I was on Eco in a neighborhood. Came to a complete stop. Then had to turn onto a busy, fast road. When I pressed on the gas, obviously the Eco and battery moves the vehicle but there is a noticeable 2-3 second delay for the engine to kick in and get the car going, which is bad if you're trying to get up to speed quickly. This is in Sport Mode. Vehicle has 69K miles and is a 2014 CT200H model. Owned it for two years and don't exactly recall there being a delay for the engine to kick until recently.
Edit: Problem solved. Stuck with Normal Mode instead.
