Lightbulb LF-30...The New CT (It should be...)

Hi everyone,

A quick point that I made over on another thread.

Lexus needs to replace the ageing CT and fast. There was talks that the UX was the CT replacement for Europe, but to say that is an admission of defeat by Lexus.

The A-Class, 1-Series and A3 are HUGE sellers here in Europe. Anyone from the UK can attest to that considering that any 5 minute drive here is bound to end up crossing paths with all 3 of these vehicles.

The UX is proving of course the current trend towards small CUVs, but there is still a market for the traditional proportioned hatchback too.

That's why Lexus are really pointing the gun at themselves by showing the LF-30 and basically killing it by saying that its a vision of motoring in TEN YEARS. In case they haven't noticed, their hatchback product (which was actually very successful when it was still stylistically relevant and modern) is almost ten - dinosaur years for a car in that sector.

The competition to the CT embarrass it, just look at the MBUX interior of the competing A-Class.

If Lexus want to get serious in Europe, it's time to update the CT.
