Key Alternative
I want to downsize my keyring and by far, the largest key belongs to my CT200h. Is there any way I can drive my car daily without having to use the large keyfob/alarm unit?

Lexus makes a wallet card-style key. Dunno if it's available for us still or not, but take a look here:

I hear you. I hate carrying around a huge chunk of plastic with me just to get in my car. But I also have to remember even new cars today--many of them don't have keyless remote entry or if they do it's an expensive option. That card is doable i think and can get it programmed at dealer. but i went completely card free and walletless as well so i'd have nowhere to carry that card.

Or I can mold it into the bottom of my shoe somehow. Cut out a slot?

I have the lexus credit card key. You have to verify the one you buy has the correct FCCID for your car.
I programmed it myself with a $30 Toyota Techstream cable and bootleg software off ebay.
But, to program yourself you have to buy a brand new key. Only the dealer can reprogram a used key.
The new credit card key was expensive when I bought one several years ago. I paid like $300 for it.
Also, for the little backup key, you have to get that cut at the dealer. That was like $30.
The credit card key is best thing ever for a car. It stays in my wallet so all I need is my wallet in pocket. Also, you can never start your car without having your wallet so it is impossible to drive off if you forget to grab your wallet.
