This is incredible! I've been doing the Courier thing in my CT too and been feeling guilty about the miles I'm putting on the car. Seeing yours gives me the reassurance that it's not something I need to worry about for a long, long time haha

I bought it exactly for this reason; to put miles on it and never replace it unless I have a good reason to. 610k miles and still going just fine. Lots of money saved from otherwise buying cars all the time.

I'd have to say my favorites are the Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 Pluses. They gave me the best fuel mileage so far. I'm running 55 section tires instead of the OEM 45 for better ground clearance and comfort. Only tire I've tried so far in this size is the General Altimax RT43 (best time recommended by Consumer Reports in this size). I will be trying the Ecopias next to see the difference in fuel economy. I think after that I will try the Goodyear Fuelmax.

You should do a quick/dirty list/spreadsheet of all the tires you've tried and their price per mile, avg. fuel economy, subjective ratings on noise, comfort, and other notes. Assuming you have all that data (and time).

I'm a tire snob but tires from this brand (Arroyo's Grand Sport A/S model) came with my car when I got them.. and as much as I wanted to hate them and make fun of them, they actually have been excellent tires. Put almost 21,000 miles on them so far. Quiet, grippy, good fuel economy, the rubber is very pliable, no cracking or chipping. All around very solid so far. And best of all is the price. I'm seriously thinking of buying the Grand Sports again when it comes time.

Someone asked me this once, and I did it, but I don't think it was this forum. I have data entries in my logs of when I bought each tire, with mileage, so some simple calculations can be made. I don't think I want to do the math again, so I'll post the raw data and you can do whatever you want with it.

This is where it gets difficult. I have to price each tire, and divide by the miles I've run them, and also take into account changes in MPG. I can correlate with my fuelly account but this is too time consuming and I'm not interested in doing it again. The info is all there, feel free to look into it.

I switched to a 215-55-17 from the 45s on my CT and it has been a much better experience ride wise and maybe only 1 mpg drop. Kind of reminds me when I went to 235-70-16 from 225-70-16 in my 99 RX300 almost 20 years ago. However, I do keep my tires at 38 psi, with a max of 44, much like I did on my RX300. I cannot say how happy I have been with my CT since getting it in January.

I'm surprised you stuck with OEM sizing for that long. One of my main complaints with the CT was the inaccurate/conservative speedometer always measuring too fast (speedometer says 80 but GPS says 76). I changed to wider wheels and upsized to 225/45-17 and it tightened it up by 2-3mph or so and plan to go 235/45-17 on my next change for an on the spot reading.

I usually stay stock in my work car. I only upsized for comfort and ride height.

I don't know, it's not a guarantee. I've tried reaching out to Lexus four different ways to ask if they knew of anyone with a higher mileage CT in the world, but got nothing. I guess we'll see when I get closer, or when or if I pass one million.
