Moonroofs add weight to the top of the car, upsetting handling a little, and also take away from the rigidity of the car, also upsetting handling and responsiveness. It's important to some people.

Yeah I used to be a track guy with track prepped BMWs and M3s, I know all about center of gravity, body and chassis dynamics.. on a fairly high level

What I meant was for a street car, it's stupid to obsess over 30 lbs lost weight up high on a street car on public roads.

This. But we're all here with CT200h's haha, what do we care about those things. I always have my sunroof open, even if it's cold, it's perfect for fresh air and light. So yeah that was a huge dealbreaker for me with the Corolla.

Yep.. as I said I've always been a big promoter of the sunroof, even on M3s... the point I was making is OP seems to want a Corolla so all I'm saying is if he really wants the Corolla, don't let lack of a sunroof deter him cause he may be surprised how little use it actually gets. But if Sunroof is a priority, then by all means get the CT =) Looking forward to see what he decides.

I will check out the rav 4, it looks pretty nice. Im more into sedans/hatches over like suv/cuv's though. but the rav 4 is nice, cant deny that.

Yeah sunroof is not worth it for me if i had a performance car, but nice if on a daily or street car. But i also never use them. ive had cars with them in the past and maybe used it 5x a year and im in florida. its cause I have bad allergies and dont want the excess pollen in the car & i always get a top of the line cabin filter.

So far looking into a corolla hatchback special edition because its red and has a cool little bodykit. (i know its pointless from a performance perspective, but a daily can look nice, cant it? lol. its pretty similar to how fsport is on the ct200h. but the ct at least has upgraded suspension) or a top trim titled XSE. I should have the car end of next week. Anyone see the corolla sedan apex edition? Looks really cool also but apparently the suspension is so tight the car bounces all over the road whereas the HB doesnt.

thanks for all the replies everyone.

At least you did your research, so I know you will be happy with your purchase. I got tempted with some other things a year ago when I got my CT200h but merely looked at my check boxes to see if those other vehicles met the mark and the CT200h still was what I needed. Again, congratulations on your purchase.

congrats, post some pics.

The CT fits into a special category of extremely low maintenance, high fuel economy, nice looks/quality, decent handling. There's really no other car like it. I wish Lexus remade it just a tad bigger/longer/taller with the ES300/Camry hybrid drivetrain. Suppose that's what the UX is sort of, but it's still kind of small. I suppose an ES300h F Sport in hatchback/wagon form would be awesome. but maybe the camry or even corolla platform so it's smaller or cheaper.

Exactly why I mentioned it. It's a 2018. It's a lot of fun and looks and sounds great!
