Default Really need help with purchase from the experts here

Hey all, i really need help deciding which CT to buy and need the local ct200h experts weigh in with their opinion on this!

1) 2015 Redline f-sport w/ nav $19k (25k miles) (always garaged & private owner have all records of oil changes & would get warranty aftermarket ~$2k)
2) 2017 Ultra white f-sport w/ nav $22k (47k miles) @ carmax, probably gonna be $25.5k with taxes & warranty
3) 2017 Atomic Silver f-sport w/ nav $22.6k (40k miles) @ CPO lexus dealer. (so with December to Remember probably & shipping to FL probably gonna be $25k-$26k)

Here is where I am torn I love the red, but its also a 2015. Lexus doesn't even offer service agreement contracts if a vehicle is over 4 years old. So red is my favorite color but its also very low mileage. The original owner owned it for 2 years before getting their oil changed at record 5k miles, the second owner (older man who took care of it) drove 20k miles with 2 oil changes there. I don't think that's a problem with the first owner waiting 2 years but it was odd. Or should I just spend more on a 2017 because its the last year of production? Probably would go for the silver first, then white. Should i spend the more money for a 2017 or y'all reckon I would be happy with the red. its a tough decision, its also the lowest mileage. but maybe you guys know something about the 2017 i don't. But I would like everyone inputs on this decision, tough call for me. THANK YOU. (side note atomic silver isn't that bad actually... and the redline would leave me with the most pocket money which is a plus.

How many miles per year are you going to drive? The CPO warrantee is unlimited powertrain mileage + 24 months
beyond the original 48 month coverage. The Atomic 2017 is about 3 and a half years old so have some time left.
If you are going to drive less than 10K year then the low mile 2015 ought to serve you well.

I probably do about 15k miles a year. I want to start doing a road trip within 2 years also. I just dont know if I will be upset with a 2015 model, but the red is very nice. I will probably call the lexus dealer first and low ball and see how low I can go. its on the other side of the country though so shipping is gonna be like $1500 on top of the deal, where as the red one will be cheaper to obtain. then again, If i keep the car for 10-15 years then the year may not matter as much.

15 years is a long time with a car. I think you should get the red one, just for it being your favorite color. That color will last long after any warranty or mileage or cost difference. I have a 2016, and to my knowledge, the 2014-2017 are all the same, except for the last year, some paint color changes. So I'd go with the red one , lowest cost, lowest mileage, closest. It's even a no-brainer for me!

Yeah Im thinking I may go for the red one. It is the color I wanted and it has navigation. & give me the most pocket money, so I will probably get some white wheels & few other things.

This is not even a contest for me. The 15 all the way. There's zero mechanical difference between a 15 and 17 and it has the lowest miles and the color you like. and it's cheaper and privately owned. absolute no brainer.

and no please don't get white wheels. keep it classy. stand out from all the immature kids who are thinking they're little racers with these cars. keep it high end and professional! thank me later =)

Was waiting for your reply! The white wheels may be a little much, i may then put that money towards some xpel ppf on the front half of the car and get the OEM lowering springs and sway bar instead. I also want to do your rx350 retro fit for the headlights and then Ill be very happy with the car.

I'm on board for the red one too.

Red stands out a bit much FOR ME, (especially if it had white wheels ) but since its you're favorite color too, its also the best deal.

Enjoy!

I recommend everyone do the bi-xenon retrofit. it makes me happy every time i turn it on. the hardest part is opening your headlights using the oven method and routing all the wires neatly. everything else is plug and play. of course use a dual-relay harness to pull 12V directly from the heavy gauge wires. never power a ballast directly on a car not made for it. can cause fires!

Of course the car will need a good baseline detail. this means wash, clay, polish, wax.

then change the oil. since you're at 25k, you can wait until 40-50k or so to do the transaxle fluid.

Post pics of the car when you get it!

UPDATE

guys, ive been thinking of getting the new corolla hatchback, its faster, better highway mpg (SE trim), has all the safety features like lane trace assist and radar cruise control and looks pretty cool. not a lexus but i test drove it and it rides nice on the new TNGA platform, dare i say rides alot better than the ct200!? its got 50 more hp so you can actually pass people on the highway, and the CVT has an actual first gear. anyone test drive it ? plus i can get a 2021 brand new for the price of a 2015 ct200h.... stay tuned.

Get it! No doubt that it's technically a better car. A new suspension, platform, and body-in-white w/ modern standards.

I was also deciding between the corolla hatch or the CT. It was a close match, but the sunroof and interior of the CT won out for me, plus being a hybrid. And it was a lot cheaper for a 2016 than a 2019 XSE at the time. But if you can get the corolla for even cheaper, then I'd say go for it. Check out the 12th gen Corolla section on ToyotaNation to see other people who have the car.

yeah sunroof is a biggy for me too, I saw no sunroof, but all the gimmicky safety features are nice. Theres also a cool red special edition hatchback with factory bodykit that looks pretty cool.

Did you consider the new Corolla hybrid? Even the new Rav4 hybrid is amazing and comfortable.

I'm big on sunroofs... however, realistically, at least for me it's not used much. but very nice to *KNOW* you have and nice to USE it the few times its used. But mine stays closed 98% of the time. One of those things in life... nice to have but seldom use. Cars to me do feel cheap without it though... i think given the choice on the same car, you should always get it. I don't understand people who do the sunroof delete on sporty cars because they want to go faster around the corner... in a 3,500 lb car. On public roads. popular thing BMW/M3 guys do... give me a break
