Default FM Radio Issue

Recently lost all fm radio channels. Spotify and AM channels work. All fuses are ok. Also tried a new aerial from another Lexus still no channels. Partly removed the roof lining and checked the plugs at the antenna, all seem ok. Removed the radio itself from the dash and checked the connections on the back. All seem good, carried out a continuity test from the back of the radio up to the antenna plug and this seems good aswell. Any help please ?

Spotify? are you sure you're in the right forum. The CT doesn't have spotify.. so has me thinking you might be in a newer Lexus?

In any event hard to say. Could be local interference... does the FM come back if you go driving a distance?

Could be the radio chip/amplifier inside the HU?

Hi E46CT, thanks for the reply. Yep right forum My phone has Spotify which connects to the HU through Bluetooth. Sound is perfectly clear etc. I thought the amplifier was in the boot ??? And no if I drive a distance the signal doesn’t come back. It has the same fault for local and national stations.

when I say "amplifier" i am talking about internal circuitry of the headunit, not "amplifier" in a traditional sense. Meaning the HU may need replacing. It's just a guess.. since you checked all the wiring and continuity I can't think of anything else.

Your radio is broken. I had my 2011 radio fail 2 years ago. Bought a used radio on ebay for $50 to replace it and everything went back to normal.
I had the nav system, but only changed the radio.
