2011 ct200 pump assembly and master cylinder
Anyone have any experience buying used parts on eBay specifically 47070-12020 pump assemblyand 47050-76040 master cylinder. Quoted 5k for new Lexus parts with 5 hours of labor Car is 2011 130,000 miles . Will install eBay parts for 800.00 labor. Is that a good price. If anyone has dealt with this situation advice would help. Also a mechanic in Clearwater area who installs used parts with no warranty . Or someone I could get a second opinion. It is a crappy feeling when u pay 8k for a car and they quote you 5k for a small repair. Why not suggest used parts?

I don't know what the Job entails on this car, but guessing $800 actually isn't awful...sometimes it's a big job.
Perfectly normal for an independent shop to not offer warranty on customer supplied parts, even if they're new parts.
If you don't want to get busy getting you tube certiffied to do yourself....I'd find a reputable shop to install your used parts. They should still offer warranty on the WORK, just not the parts.
