Sarasota blown engine help
Daughter, in Sarasota, has a 2013 CT200h with a blown engine. Any members have a recommended shop for rebuild/replacement?

If you don't find a local recommendation, which is unlikely imo, you might want to try repairpal.com to find a good local shop.

Yeah viewer traffic is a little low on this sub-forum so like said unlikely you'll get a local recommendation here. There are sub-forums per areas of the country though.
For me id want a hybrid specialized shop. Just my preference if I were in that position. Now, any popular shop will have experience of course as prius is so common. So any good shop you find will be adequate.
There is a yellow taxi across the street from me and I plan to see where they have their fleet of priuses serviced, then see if they also look legit and trustworthy. I'm mostly DIY but nice to have someone like that in your back pocket.
Reviews cab be hard as anyone who needs more service than they hoped blames the shop. Sometimes the shop over-quotes, but sometimes not and its not their fault.

Hybrid shop isn't a bad idea but the engine is shared w/ a corolla so i think as long as they have experience with toyota engines generally, it should be OK. i only say that cause sometimes specialty shops have to charge more. shop around. maybe the hybrid shop will work out best for you.
check craigslist too mechanics will usually spam there.
