Should I sell my IS350 for a 2011 CT200h?
I'm considering selling my 2007 is350 with 80,000 miles for a 2011 ct200h also with 80,000 miles. 2nd gen is350 is one of the most reliable Lexus' ever made, so I am accustomed to owning a car with low maintenance. I want the ct200h for the hybrid system and excellent gas mileage.
Is the 2011 ct200h an unreliable car? What should I look out for?

It's mostly reliable but if you did buy that CT, i would immediately have the EGR circuit cleaned and serviced. that's really the big question mark. Also a 2011 model is at about 10 years. you're approaching the point in time where the battery (the big main one) starts to become a question mark. Rebuilds aren't expensive though) Could last 15 years, could konk out at year 12-13. Hard to say.
So in short, reliable, yes, but if you spend the money for an EGR service and have a rainy day fund for a battery rebuild. Budget $1500 or so for the traction battery and $500 or so for EGR circuit service/clean.
I'd try for a 2014+ CT if I were you and had the budget. Newer=better with hybrids.

What E46CT said above I agree with, it's one of the main reasons I got my 2016 CT a year ago instead of an earlier one and up to 65,000 on miles and only tires and oil.

I sold my 14 IS350 for a 16 CT. I make payments which were lowered. Spend half as much in gas, insurance went down a bit, and maintenance is minimal. My goal was cut costs and keep reliability, I feel I've done that.
