Default Storage 3 months

Would like to know the best way to store vehicle, while on special duty for three months.
Should I hire a mobil mechanic to disconnect battery ; or let it sit in garage; or connect a solar battery charger, so as to not have start up problems upon my return.
never had a Hybrid before. This is my first one.

thank you for any advice.

I’ve stored my CT200h for as long as a year using a Battery Tender trickle charger with no issues.

Thank soo much . Will look into that mechanism to achieve good results, upon keeping the Hybrid CT 200h battery in good charged status, while away for months at a time.

again thank you for the knowledge.

Don't forget your car has two batteries.

Inexpensive 12V battery
Very expensive HV battery

The method described above only addresses the inexpensive battery.

You still have the HV battery to consider during your three-month storage.

For the 12V battery Toyota recommends disconnecting the negative terminal for storage more than 30 days.

For the HV battery, Toyota recommends periodic charging by letting the car run for 30 minutes after 45 days of non-use and every two months after that.

Scenario 1: You have a friend that can cycle the car engine on 30 minutes (in an open space of course) at 45 days. (Preferred) Still unplug the 12V battery as Toyota says. This will charge both the HV and 12V batteries.

Scenario 2: Me personally, if I were gone 3 mos, I would do as Toyota says and disconnect the 12V negative terminal. But before doing so, drive the hybrid until it shows max charge on the dashboard, then shut it down. That will give you the maximum amount of charge for storage (it'll only be around max actual 80% charge anyway) but it will show full as designed. This is for the safety of the battery. Car HV/EV batteries do NOT want to be actually fully charged--bad/dangerous. (FYI) but for all intents and purposes if it shows "full" on the gauge, it's "full."
