Default The dreaded fear if having to replace the hybrid battery

2011 lexua ct200h 172kmiles The warning lights being displayed. Any ideas?.still starts and runs. Got towed immediately after this showed up.. If in the event I need a new hybrid battery any suggestions on a used or rebuilt? I don't want to spend 4k on a new one from dealer. My lexus shop( not a dealer) said that past customers have had rebuilt ones fail after a year. Willing to take that chance . Any advice is appreciated. I already went through the brake assembly and master cylinder problem. Purchased used on ebay for 300 plus 600.00 labor. Now I am getting the run around from corporate on reimbursement ( please send this letter with letter head and this letter( blah blah blah) . Plus it's hard to get my shop to do the bookwork and provide necessary paperwork . Lexus corporate rejected my first submission. Thanks ahead if anyone has feedback

Are you sure the 12volt battery is good? It can trigger that warning.

yeah if the 12V is anywhere from 5-8 years old or more, you may want to replace it or at least get it tested

+3 on testing the 12v battery first. Since the other aspect hasn't been addressed, I'll offer my $0.02. The sticker shock of a "new" inverter battery at a dealer is real, but rest assured that you have other options out there, of course $ is relative to it being a DIY, local shop willing to use your parts, etc. If you are comfortable with a DIY or a shop using a part you buy, contact 2K1 Toaster over at prius chat. Here is the Link to his profile. Here is his website. After a lot of reading, combing through threads, I will be using his services if/when the time comes that I am in need. Fingers crossed it's just the 12v though.

If it ends up being the Hybrid battery, check this out; bus bar corrosion can mimic bad cells. Proceed at your own risk!

Most rebuilt batteries are just a collection of used, good cells...and individual cells can be had from ebay. Hopefully there's a shop in your area willing to work on it.

Default Replace with a nicer Lithium battery

I would replace it with the better and lighter lithium battery from ProjectLithium. For around $2k new. There is plenty of videos on installation, just pay special attention to the safety recommendations .Be happy and enjoy your CT!
