Sunroof Drains? Where are they?
Hello fellow Lexus friends. I'll keep this short. I have ordered a replacement sunroof weatherstrip, but in the process of getting water leaking into the car, I could not for the life of me find where the drains are. Most (all I thought) sunroofs have drains in the even water seeps in through the seal.
Can anyone tell me where they are if they even exist?

open the sunroof and pour water below where the seal would sit (around the edge of the glass). you should see where water exits or tries to exit. or you can just idenitfy any holes first visually without pouring water..

Yes, I have done that. The water only pools up in the channels and I cannot find any holes at all anywhere. Other cars with sunroof I can easily see them, they are impossible to miss. I just cannot see any holes at all on the ct200h. Hopefully someone knows something that can help. It really looks like there just aren't any.

Here's a photo from ebay. looks like two tubes on the top corners.
you won't find many on this forum its pretty dead. most i can offer
see if you can locate the drain tubes under the car and blow compressed air backwards and see if you can trace the drains or blow debris out of them. or blow the other way if you're able to find it.

no problem. learned something myself too. i'll be sure to periodically blow mine out with air. you can see that black top strip (presumably) for water entering the back of the sunroof drips down that, then onto the sides, then it looks to drain to the front. there has to be drains at the rear too though in case the car is on an incline uphill. i wonder where those drains are. probably at the corners too i'd suspect.

Hey all,
Had the same issue with standing water in my sunroof tray. Assumed it was a clogged drain as my car sits outside (no garage or coverage in my townhouse).
I found it impossible to see the drains as the arms of the sunroof seem to sit above the drain holes.
So using a plastic weed-eater trimmer line was not getting me anywhere as it was too flexible and would not find the holes (think pushing rope).
I ended up using a thin flexible metal line (maybe thinner than a wire coathanger).
With the passenger door open, I stood on the carhop with the sunroof open and gently pushed the wire in the sunroof tray twoards my chest.
The wire easily found the hole that I could not see, I was able to gently push the wire down approx 6 inches.
I repeated on the other side of the car in the same position with the driver side car door open.
I went to a car wash to test and ... bam no more leaks.
Good luck all
