Good luck today Gernby. I noticed that it will be windy there today. I think winds from the NNW at 20mph and I believe the track faces NNE, so I'm not sure how much of an effect that will have on the runs. At least you have more to your advantage this time. Sticky tires, nice temps, pressure is above 30 and rising, front seat removed, etc. RoRo better watch out haha I think you are on a mission to take his spot.

I'm back! The wind was even worse than predicted, but it was more of a cross wind than a head wind. I don't really know how much the wind effected my times, but it was VERY hard keeping the car in a straight line. The hood was also bobbling up and down like it was unlatched or something.
Anyway, my best run was my first run (again) at 13.094 @ 105.43. The tires helped out a LOT, but if they slipped even a little bit, then spun like crazy. It was kind of an all or nothin' thing.
60' - 1.968
1/8 - 8.422
MPH - 84.03
1/4 - 13.094
MPH - 105.43
I got several other times in the 13.1's and 13.2's. I don't really know why I couldn't repeat my 1st run. There were hardly any cars there, so I did 6 runs in 45 minutes and left.

Honestly, I don't see me going back over and over again just trying to find the perfect conditions. I wish it hadn't been so windy, but drag racing just isn't entertaining enough to justify the effort. I honestly view it about like dyno testing. The results are interesting, but there's no fun in it.

I did take out the front seat, which weighed 60 lbs. I weigh just over 200 lbs, so I figure my results would be about like they would with the seat in place, but a 140 lbs driver. Of course, the 140 lbs driver with the passenger seat in place would have better weight distribution, so who knows...

nice gernby, emm I think you need to keep shooting for that 12 second run. YOu have the fastest IS 1/4 mile out there so far. Of course, there are the 3 people with SC's that I am sure can run 12's but as far as non SC you take the cake.
Nice runs. I think you should try one more time before you stop. You can get that puppy in the 12's. You are too close.

I wouldn't even consider going back out there unless I were going to do even more weight reduction (interior door panels and rear seat). I just don't see the point since the results wouldn't have anything to do with anything other than removing weight.
BTW, were you able to pick up our cats?
