Well, it has some elevation to it, drops a little as you can see on the far right side on the railing. We had to fill in an area on the right side of the track about 75 meters before the finish line. The land in the entire Mexico City area is sinking and cracking, not due to earthquakes, but because this entire area was built on a lake bed that the Spanish drained.
This video I took last Sunday gives you a better idea. You can notice when I go over the area I described in the last paragraph how it is a little rough there, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqfSmBZrOnw
It is amazing for a city this size that we are the only operating track. Surprised me when we opened back in 2004.

Now, my pride and joy is bracket racing. And the guy in the vehicle on my right, Carlos, is considered probably one of the best in Mexico (I have only beaten him once but not in this race). We get rain and slick conditions and then we have to stop the racing (this was a monthly final so he and I agreed to get it done with).

But that nice vehicle met its fate in our return lane where you have to really pay attention and slow down. In his case, a steering unit failed and he hit the rail (notice the tire at the bottom).
We check all of our driver's alcohol readings and have tossed a few out, but apart from some mechanical failures of the vehicles themselves, generally everything runs pretty clean here.

Now this is a video of my friend Alvaro in his turbocharged Golf (he runs 12s at this elevation, 7,411 feet) against a Malibu in a bracket. This is obviously a MAJOR mechanical failure with the Malibu, but this is probably the worst accident we have ever had here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11jSnYe7Rsk

That track in Mexico is probably the scariest and craziest track I've seen...and I like it.
In regards to the question: do a search and you'll see that not all tracks are the same. Some are maintained and ran better than others. Unfortunately they're shutting down my favorite track in Arizona called Speedworld.
