JB2R is race gas. The turbo tuner seems less agressive. Also, the Xi will have more tranny drag.

Now the dilema is... do I keep the car stock or do I get lightweight wheels to reduce weight and possibly improve my times.
I want new rims too - I've been thinking about going down to 17's but then the car looks "cheap". So then I decided to keep it 18" so I can keep the stock tires too. The Volk RE30 (I think that's why they're called) are like 17 pounds each - about 10 pounds LIGHTER per RIM!!! 40 pounds of rotational mass is like saving a couple hundred pounds of weight!! (or gaining like 20 HP) BUT at 700 bucks each...

I'm thinking I'm going Saturday or Sunday for the last time. If I can't break my PR, I might remove the spare and jack to see what I could do.

Default Dragstrip part 2

I made it to the drag strip again. The only thing different with the car this time is that I have new rims, Enkei GTC01, which save me about 20 lbs total from the OEM setup. I still have the same tires as last year. My fastest time was 13.347 seconds which is 0.002 seconds slower than last time. I consider this an improvement since it was 75 degrees outside comparing to 43 degrees last November. I went there with my cousin who brought his 2007 Dodge Charger SRT-8 that he had just purchased two weeks ago. We raced about 7 times together but he could not manage to win any of those races but like I said... he just got and car and is still getting the feel for it. He did manage to get 13.1 @108 on one of his runs but as far as I'm concerned he never beat me since he didn't win any of the runs we did together

The highlight of my day was definitively getting to race an IS-F. As you can see in the video below and the time slip I got him off the line but as soon as he got some decent traction it was over. It was amazing to see that car come from behind and pass me as it was nothing. So I guess this answers all you doubters that say: "Why get an IS-F... IS350 is just as fast." In my opinion the 0.7 second ET difference is worth the extra 15K. And I get the feeling that 12.7 is not the fastest we'll see from an IS-F.
Alright, enough talk, here are some visual aids

Very good runs for both the IS350 and the IS-F. What wheels are you running the IS350 and what mods do you have? I couldn't help but to notice that your E/T and Trap speed are both better than your previous best and the DA was much worse.

Hell you even had a slight headwind.

The wheels are Enkei GTC01. They weight a total of about 20 lbs less than the stock wheels. Everything else on the car is exactly the same as last year. The conditions were definitively worse than last November. It was warmer and really windy. I think that explains why on some runs I was at 13.3 and on other runs I was at 13.5. I also noticed that the trap speed was higher.... I attribute that to the loss of rotational weight (lighter wheels.)

What size are the wheels? They look like 17's. If that is the case, then that is where your better times came from.

Yeah, it's the only video I have. I've only raced him once and he did a total of two runs because he got thrown out for not having a helmet.
