Wow you got 20 runs in!? I'd say you should be seasoned by now. LOL. As for shifting, I found that the deeper you wait after the shift alarm the better and have found that by actually hitting the rev limiter has been beneficial to me on the 1 to 2 shift.

True, go deep after the shift signal. I launch at around 1500 RPM.
