Camshaft Position Sensor
I have a check engine, light on with code reading P1350. I ran a diagnostic at AutoZone and it said I needed to replace the camshaft position sensor. It also gave a secondary reading of P0765. I have a 2001 Lexus ES 300 that has a check engine light on. A little more about the car runs fairly good but it’s getting bad gas mileage and the RPM gauge is revving a bit high about 3500 RPMs at 70 mph, after a bit of research, I found out that aftermarket parts would not reset the check engine light. My worry is that that wouldn’t reset the secondary code of P0765. Which has to do with shift solenoid what I’m hoping is that when I replace this camshaft sensor that it also resets the second code, therefore, fixing my problem with the RPMs or the car not going into overdrive on the freeway I will be receiving the part today and attempting the repair on my own as it seems fairly simple. I will say I have never done any serious car repairs before wanting to share this information for anybody experiencing the same problem. Will post results. Also, any feedback is appreciated. Thank you.
