Hi,
How long have you seen Head Gasket's last on these cars? I have a 1998 Lexus ES300 with 214,174 miles on it. I went through all the paperwork since I've owned the car (I thought I had it replaced years back) and some of the paperwork I received when I bought the car with about 130k on it and I don't see anywhere that the head gasket had been replaced. There are no signs that the head gasket is going bad, but....
Anything you can do to stretch out the life of a head gasket? I can't really afford the cost of replacing one.
Thank you.
Michael

Longer than the rest of the car will last. Exception is if coolant is never replaced or generic coolant is used.
