Default How to replace thermostat on 2004 Lexus ES330

Hello,

Is there any instruction or video showing the replacement of the thermostat? Where is the exact location of it? What is part number? There are videos on youtube but for other models which do not specifically apply to this model.
Thanks

This covers it - note his comment regarding jiggle valve position when installing new thermostat

part number - enter vehicle data & search thermostat

Or more detailed schematics that have part numbers - again enter vehicle data, starting by clicking on YEAR

Default Thermostat

+1 on the above video. I did this procedure not too long ago on my 2003 ES300 (engine was running way too cool) and made the mistake of using a well know brand thermostat. Bad move on my part. Had to redo the whole procedure months later and this time I installed an oem thermostat. Still working great. Don't try to cheap out and NOT buy oem. It'll cost you in the long run.

I have found OEM sensors, thermostats, radiator caps, and gas caps are a must. Using cheap aftermarket parts for these critical parts to save $$ has bitten me more times than not!!
