Default 04 ES330 Add a USB and audio port?

Hello

I have a mint 330 with the mark levinston entertainment & GPS.

Has any one added a usb and audio port to the existing stock system?
- If so,what is involved and what specific parts did you get from a specific supplier ?

Experienced wrench heads info requested.

Thanks

Just picked up a 330 and looking to do the same thing. I'd imagine you'd need to pull the headhunt regardless to access the rear ports to plug one in. I've seen one person run the wire to their glove box with the usb accessible from there.
Hopefully someone shares how to do it. If I do in fact have to pull the head unit I might just go ahead and install a touch screen android.

I just did this and it also added Bluetooth for wireless listening and talking. It’s USASpec and part number is BT-45-TOY
it is plug and play and i love it so far.

SUPER

I see there is a youtube video on installment, but do you have photos of the placement of the parts?

I would like to get an idea where things are before tearing into things

thanks

Do you mean where I mounted the USASpec device? It basically just has a harness that plugs into the back of the stock stereo and then you can add an aux cord and a microphone that comes with it for talking on the phone. Super easy install

Thanks for the info.
Holy cow it's around $200?
For me it makes more sense to spend $320 for a touchscreen w bluetooth and dash kit included.
I dont really own many CD's. So If im going thru all that trouble of removing the head unit to get access to the rear, I might as well go all out for a little extra $.

Interesting

As I want to play USB, CD, GPS, , Audio jack along with BT. The options for the Mark Levingston unit space is an Android that starts at around 600. Looks like the Androids available do not have CD players.

So the device suggested looks like the best route.

They stopped doing CDs in basically all those aftermarket ones. Bummer. I don't believe the USB on the device works as anything else but a charger. So you will have Bluetooth, Aux cord, CD, radio, AND cassette if you opt for the older nav units from 02-early 04 i believe. I ordered a GPS antenna to make that part functional. Just waiting on it now

Default I added BT 45-TOY but am upgrading mine to android

Scotty Kilmer upgraded his wife’s Lexus to android. I bought the ATOTO S8 standard off Amazon. Here’s Scotty on YouTube inspiring Lexus owners.

I found a great resource, gps and sat antenna cables for older square HFC connectors Like on my 2006 Lexus ES330. They have everything I need to reuse my existing GPS cables to hook into my new head unit. https://www.discountcarstereo.com
i also added the back up camera to my old E7002 nav unit.

how does the image look on your screen? Mine has “check surroundings for safety” in black and white and blocks a good portion of the screen
