POSSIBLE SOLUTION ON CK ENGINE CODES, NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE WAS LOOSE, CAR WAS 50 MILES SINCE A REPAIR IN GARAGE, SO I MAY HAVE A CABLE THAT WONT STAY TIGHT OR GARAGE FORGOT TO TIGHTEN CABLE WHICH CAN HAPPEN WE ARE ALL HUMAN, I TRY TO CK THAT OIL GOT ADDED AFTER AN OIL CHANGE ALSO AND LUGNUTS TIGHT AFTER TIRE AND BRAKE WORK. I have a 1994 Lexus ES300, just 45,000 miles, new to me but it did throw a P0753 SHIFT SOLENOID "A" ELECTRICAL CODE. The car is running fine but when idling it also threw a P1300 IGNITER CIRCUIT #1 CODE and quit idling and would not start. I lucked out on the issue of not restarting as I pressed on wires close the where I cked the tranny fluid including the front camshaft position sensor and after sitting for 30 minutes or so and pressing on suspect wires, the car started fine but the tranny solenoid code still comes up. I had the timing belt changed a few wks back and I will ck other connections near the transmission and grounds, plus the battery posts for good connection. Right before the ck engine light came on for the tranny solenoid, the overdrive off light did flash on the dash cluster with the overdrive on. I turned the overdrive off just to see if that would affect the code coming back. I have the bluedriver scanner which makes clearing codes easy. but a mechanic who works on toyota lexus other than the dealer in the Greensboro, NC area would help with further diagnosis. I have always heard don't change fluid if everything is shifting well so I will put the fluid change off for a while.
