Hello I have a 2001 Lexus es300. The other day while I was driving on the highway I was going about 70 and then noticed I lost acceleration. Then white steam/smoke started pouring out from under the hood, and I mean a lot of it. I then coasted to the side and called a tow. I did notice that there was no white smoke coming from the exhaust which makes me think Its not a head gasket issue. When I got home with the car it would not start but it cranks. All the lights are on and it appears electrical is still all good. There is still a lot of oil in the engine as well. I have attached some pictures from after the incident. I’m not sure what has maybe left that whitish / blue residue near the passenger side. I hope someone could help me as I would love to keep this car its my baby.
Possibly the water pump seized breaking the timing belt. Residue you see is coolant has probably been a leak for some time. Whole engine looks like it has been completely neglected.

my coolant level has not really gone down, I have only had the car for 6 months got it cheap at auction. But you think it’s the timing belt?
