Default Tansaxle Removal

Hi
I saw a video on Youtube by "Car Wizard" where he had to replace the Tranny on a 2000 Lexus. He claims he did it without removing the engine.
Is that possible? According to the Tech Manual the Engine must come out with the transaxle but don't want to make any more mistakes.
BTW, removing this engine is a monumental job !!!!!! Whew !!!

Please advise
Roy

Possible yes. Should you do it this way? No. It is more work and hassle supporting the engine, tilting it, fighting with limited space trying to remove the transmission. Installing it is even worse. Not worth it, did it once that way never again.

Thank you.
This adventure has already been enough stress. I worry I'll get the transaxle rebuilt and then the car won't run because I did something wrong.
