2002 ES300

Hi- just curious- has the ES ever had a recall or issue with the gas pedal? Getting stuck? I couldn't find anything online.

I ask because my lovely mother passed away in a car accident 2 months ago and we are still unsure what may have happened. Apparently the car accelerated at a high rate of speed when she was leaving work and she crashed into a construction site. We are thinking medical emergency (still waiting for cause of death from medical examiner) but we have not ruled out an issue with the car.

Any input would be helpful. Thanks

There was never a recall for unintended acceleration. I'm sure you know about the infamous fiasco Toyota went through due to floor mats, plus Toyota tweaked the software. Your car was not involved in this. Sadly sometimes people make a mistake and hit the gas instead of the brake.
