Anyone using 235/55/R16’s on their 4th gen? Any rubbing?
Just bought a 2004 ES330 - running standard 215/60/R16. The tires are approaching the end of their life and I was considering getting wider tires for a heavier steering feel and more grip.
235/55/R16 are the exact same diameter as stock - very good, but my only worry would be rubbing on the fronts, or the tires potentially being too wide for the rim. Would love to hear if anyone had any insight - especially if you’ve ran this size

There is only one tire made in that size. Its is a Kumho TA31 it is special order at discount tire and they are $148 + mounting and road hazard.
That is the stock size for My 1997 Chevy S10 SS. It is a amazing touring tire. It fits a 16X8 wheel.

There are a lot more tires in that size on TireRack. I'm mainly concerned about the front wheels rubbing on turns, or if they'll even fit the rim at all (i have the stock rims which are 6.5 in wide)

That should work but will be close, no guarantees. I don't like stretching tires like that some shops won't do it.

They will certainly fit onto the rim. As stated above, shops won't mount them and, my mine (where I work) only goes by what the door jamb says, for liability reasons. There's a work around though and that is to bring in the wheels off of the car.
