Default Question...

which is better??
a strut tower brace or a anti rear sway bar???
so far I found a strut bar for $94
and anti rear sway bar for $147
they are both TRD
and they are both for 1999-2002 Solara

for the trd strut bar to fit.. youre going to have to cut parts of the support for the hood... nixon or something on here posted pics of it not too long ago... as for the rear sway bar.. theyre a pain to install.. but good luck

whiteline also makes front AND rear swaybars for the camry/es/solara ... check out www.ctmotorsport.com

cornering will be awesome after these upgrades

so there is no mod needed to put the solara struts bar right???... so I can just buy the solara strut bar and the whiteline rear sway bar... and it's going to make my ride smooth when making hard turn...... right?

George what are you trying to accomplish by changin the front and rear bars?
Are you trying to get a faster corner speed?
more stability in the corners?
A strut bar will help make you feel the road better through the steering wheel and corner a bit better.
A sway bar is something that needs to be decided on by driver, road and car dynamics.
You realize in low traction weather the car will slide alot more in a corner if the bars are not dialed in right.
Also the tires will become stressed on the sidewalls more.So this is not for a stock set of rubber and rims.

I am thinking more of "stability in the corners". and somehow I feel my sister's 2000 ES300 take corner more better then mine... and on the other hand. I got 225/40 zr 18... is that good or what... should I go for the 235 or 245????

you are right on with the tire size going any wider probably wont fit depending on the rims you already have.
The es platform is not a very rigid one that is why it is so hard to get a tighter feel in corners.
The sway bars will flatten the angle of the car in a corner but can lead to it sliding alot more if the traction is not supported by a good tire. As teh pressure exerted on the outside tire is less ,to now be more equal over the inner and outer pressures of the tires.

thankz for the information..... Yeah... I know that the car might slide more.. but I am not plan going fast on the corner... I just need to make the ride better.. but I am still try to find out if 98ES300 have front sway bar and will the whiteline sway fit both front and rear..
