After doing some investigating and tests it appears that the left tail light gasket might be leaking causing the water in the trunk. This is the taillight assembly located in the left rear quarter panel/bumper not trunk lid.
Are there any affordable gasket options or do I need to get one from the dealer? I didn't see one on Rock Auto.
Is the taillight fairly easy to remove?
Thank you.

Butyl tape will do the job. Removing the tail light is easy, first remove the trunk liner then a few nuts.
