Default Gasket-maker or cork oil pan gasket / 1MZFE?

For changing the oil pan gasket, I see everyone on Youtube uses RTV. Does the cork gasket (like Fel-pro) not seal well? I happen to have one and wanted to make use of it, but I'm considering just using RTV since that's what everyone seems to recommend. Any thoughts/experience here are appreciated.

Cork will leak that's why auto makers abandoned them a long time ago.

Changed my mind and went with the Fel pro cork rubber gasket that I had on hand. So far no leaks, but we'll see. I figure it's not hard to re-do with RTV if necessary.
