Weather Stripping/Body molding for '97 ES 300?
Not my car, but does anyone know the part number for this type of weather stripping on the roof area? Mine is peeling away and I'd rather just replace it all in one go. Also my roof does slightly like this one in the roof section, any places you guys would recommend to get my ES repainted to the closests possible factory color?

Nothing goes there the body is bare just paint, at least on my 2000 it is that way. Where are you in Florida so people can recommend a paint shop.

Space Coast, about 30 minutes south of Cape Canaveral :P I'm flexible to go where I can trust the people to do a good job for a fair rate
so you're saying the guy I bought it from just shoved some black molding into the crack? Weird, guess I should just rip it all the way off then

Sounds like it. To be clear there is a drip molding at the very edge next to the door, chrome and black but that's not something that goes bad unless someone used a roof rack incorrectly.

My mistake everyone, it was actually this molding/weather stripping here. I just didn't remember if it was on the roof or near the doors. Advice on removal and reapplying new stripping is greatly appreciated!

That molding is clipped on for lack of a better word, I've never removed it on this particular car. If it's like similar molding I have removed you roll it up from the bottom, not an easy task.

Hello,
Those are what holds your rubber door seal in place, and are actually screwed into place with a bunch of self-tapping machined screws(don't question it), but what's worse is that it has nuts on the back in the interior, meaning that to take it off, you will have to take all the upper interior trim apart, which could be a challenge with the strength of clips used compared to the strength of plastic that holds said clips.
Needless to say, it's a bit of a mess to replace those trim panels, if it's just for esthetic purposes, I would resort to painting them sooner than taking them off frankly.
Hope this helps and best of luck!
