Question Airbag reset

I changed out my battery this weekend, the airbag light stays on. Has anybody done a reset themselves?
Or is this a dealer service.

Any leads on the LED speedo and Tach needles for a 93 es300, 3 are burned out.

You might want to do/check a few things before you bring the car to the dealership. Disconnect the battery, wait 30 mins and reconnect your battery. That will reset the ECU and hopefully clear out the airbag sensor warning light. If not, check its related fuse (might be labeled as SRS or related).

This is a common problem/issue on all 1st-gen ES's. No easy workaround except entire replacement of instrument cluster from the dealership, which could run to at least $500. There's the option of purchasing an occasional similar cluster from Ebay or from the local junkyard, but proper calibration of the cluster is always in question.

Cool

OLT it was a problem that existed in all Camry's from that gen, and corollas (that had airbags) atleast. (probably the entire Toyota line)

All you do is go a Toyota/Lexus dealer and tell the to reset it. Normally it's free down here. I've had it done on a '93 Corolla & this '93 ES when I changed the battery afew months ago... All the Toyota service manuals from that era that I can recall warn that if the battery is disconnected for more than 30 seconds; the airbag computer may need to be reset.
