I thought my dome light didn't work but by looking in the manual I can see the fuse is connected to other lights that are working. When I set it to "door" it will work if I press on it or jiggle it, but the "on" position still doesn't work. Any suggestions on trying to fix it?

Maybe the switch is corroded and flaking out I've seen this happen.

I have seen many times when the contacts on things (flashligts, BP monitors, computers) look like the pictures, the item will not work correctly.
Try to take the copper looking strip off - phillips screw and look at the bottom side. What I try to achieve is the look of a new penny compared to and old used penny. You can use the eraser on a pencil to polish it and that might do it.
My turn signal did that and it cleaned the contact points. It has workded fine for at least 7 years.
