2000 Es300 Compressor connector missing?

Default 2000 Es300 Compressor connector missing?

The current issue I'm having is that my ac does not blow cold air. I took it to a shop to get it looked at, they told me the compressor had a missing connector, therefore the compressor would not kick on. They said it could physically move but wasn't kicking on because of the missing connector. So i ordered the female connector plugging into the compressor.

This is the link to the exact part I installed. The wires aren't color coded and I have no clue where it needs to be wired. It's extremely hot and I would love to have ac lol, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

A missing connector..? Is there a chance you can take a picture of it?

Here is a thread on how to de-pin a connector, if your actual Terminals are still intact, you will not need to cut any wires to get the connector back together. I would suggest getting an OEM connector instead of any aftermarket, at least for the guaranteed fit and durability, Part Number is 90980−11016, or you can source one from a Junkyard.

Below is a Connector Pinout for the A/C Compressor. Make sure to Check it before assembling the connector, I tend to not trust the wire color, and it's a good sanity check - Pin LOCK can only be found through the process of elimination, Pin SG should have Continuity to Ground, to check Clutch Relay Terminal you will need to Short a Switch side of a MG CLT RELAY, then it should have 12V on it.

Thanks that diagram is what I was looking for! I wired it exactly that way using the aftermarket connector and unfortunately it didn't get the compressor to kick on. This was probably due to either the ****ty crimp connection job lol or the connector so I'll be getting an oem like you said and fingers crossed that will work. I also remember the shop did a max performance check and said my system was empty on freon would this also cause the compressor to not kick on or are these not correlated?

There is a high/low pressure switch which is exactly like it sounds it prevents the compressor from running if there is too much or too little pressure.

I had no clue this was a thing but I'll probably switch that out too to see if it fixes it. Can you send a link to high/low pressure switch with a part number? Also do you know where it is located?

88471-34010 located right next to the receiver/dryer near the battery tray. But there is no need to fire the parts canon you can't expect the system to work when there is no refrigerant!

So should I replace that connector that plugs into the compressor first then, get the system recharged? Then if the compressor doesn't turn on then would the next step be to replace the high/low switch? And then if that doesn't work then it's probably the entire compressor that needs to be replaced. I really would like to avoid spending a ton of money replacing something that doesn't need to be fixed lol. I am still learning how to diagnose cars so any help would be great

Replace zero parts until you know what the problem is. First step is pull a vacuum and see if it holds, if so then get the system charged. At that point it will probably work. I don't understand why the compressor had a missing connector where did it go?

It had a missing connector due to the previous owner. I bought it from a used car dealership back in December, so I didn't realize till it started getting hot. I'm going to get that OEM connector installed and the system refilled and go from there.

Update: The issue ended up just being the ac system was low on refrigerant, so I filled it back up and as soon as I did the compressor kicked on and the ac started blowing cold air. Thanks everyone for the help.
