Default AC cold on passenger but not driver side

I recently noticed that my passenger side is blowing colder than the drivers side, although nether side is as cold as it used to be. Any ideas? When i switch modes the air redirects exactly where it’s supposed to go out the proper vents. The feet setting also blows warmer on driver side only.
maybe blend door actuator? Although, if that was the issue then why is the air going where it’s supposed to when i change the settings ? Any help would be appreciated

2003. 281K miles. Air coming out of the vents seems to be coming out strong, so seems more of a temp issue.

At that mileage, you are lucky either lower blend door is still working. They are failure prone. Upper vents have nothing to do with it. Your op said the temps were different side-to-side but you didn’t state whether that was with a/c on, or heat.

Pull back the carpeting either side of the center console, the door mechanisms are right there. Play with the CC module settings and you can see which one is operating fully and which is not. This sounds like a very typical lower blend door issue, a $20 repair. Take heart.

It could be the blend doors mentioned above, or you need a refrigerant recharge. When the refrigerant levels get lower the a/c system can not remove heat from the air as efficiently as when properly charged. So, you will get a more pronounced bias in your a/c distribution in each vent. Usually (if you have properly working blend doors) it will be coldest on the passenger's far right and warmest on the driver's far left.

According to Scotty Kilmer, it's normal for a/c systems to lose a small amount of refrigerant at your mileage and age. So, take that as you will.

I’m definitely doing all the testing with the AC button on. I’ve tried all different temperatures etc. i figured the blend door might be the issue. I’ll check it out. Thanks

I just pulled the carpet back and I can see two actuators on the drivers side, basically one on top of the other. I started the car and turned on the AC, and went through all the different modes with the mode button plus the temp button. I noticed that they both seem to be moving and operating fine
It’s looking like maybe low refrigerant…

An A/C refrigerant sight glass is located next to the high side A/C service valve connection. When the A/C is operating, the sight glass should be mostly clear. If the sight glass shows cloudy refrigerant, the system charge is low.
