There is a loud, fast ticking sound coming from under my driver seat. It is constant and continuous, whether the car is off or on (2001 es300). It’s happened once before but stopped on its own, so, at the time I canceled the mechanic appointment. Any ideas what electronics are under the driver seat that could make this sound?

One of your power seat switches might be stuck in position that turned the motor(s) under the driver seat. Try to switch on and off the power seat switches to see if you could stop the noise.
