Hi. First off, I've read the majority of threads that deal with this issue. It's not a new issue to the 92 - 94 ES. Car will start with your foot on the gas, as soon as the pedal is released you can hear a relay click under the passenger side of the dash, and the car will stall. It will run all day long if you keep your foot on the gas. Took it in to the shop. They replaced the air meter, coolant temp sender as well as the boot that connects the TB to the air meter. The idle valve was taken off, cleaned and tested. It passed and was reinstalled. TB was cleaned as well. Shop can't figure it out and I'm out some money with a dead car still.


Any ideas would be appreciated.

Leaky EGR valve would be the first thing I check. With the engine running (put something between the throttle cable stop and throttle body) apply vacuum to the EGR valve see if engine speed changes. It should.
