Post Need Advice on 97' ES300

Okay...as some of you know I have owned 2 ES's in the past. I sold my 94' and bought a 2001 fully decked out, as some like to say. lol. But I'm thinking of now selling my 96' Nissan Maxima SE which has 73,000miles on it. I first was looking for a BMW 5-series 97-99 but they are too damn expensive for me. But I still haven't given up looking at the 5-series. Yesterday while looking through the newspaper I found a 97' ES 300 with 101,000miles. It was blk/tan and it seemed to be kept in very good shape. A Toyota Dealer in Atlanta was selling it for $8999. So what do you guys think? Does it sound like a good deal? KBB trade in value is :$8200 compared to Retail Value :$12,500 . The ad also states that it has the Naki. Sound System and it has all the service records.

How much should I offer?

- Thanks Preppy

rukarims,

Don't take this the wrong way, but just curious as to why do you need a 2nd ES? You have a '96 Maxima w/ 73K miles, and you're looking into a '97 ES300 w/ over 100K miles. The years between the 2 cars are almost similar, but the mileage between them does not compare at all I'm trying to follow the logic behind this deal, but it's not very clear

Yeah I understand your point. There is something about ES's I like. And I rather have a fully loaded ES then a basic Nissan Maxima. The 2k1 ES that I have, I barely drive it because I'm trying to save miles on it. I just need something to take me around town here and there. But yea.....i see what your getting too. I think im mad crazy with ES's....lol someone can slap me now. haha

an es with 100k+ miles is better than a maxima with 50miles IMO, but yea... the 97 doesnt even have the option for nakamichi sound, so its the pioneer for sure... still sounds really good though, and at that price, its a steal, so go for it
