Question Help Bad trans or sensor

I just bought 93 es300. The probelm I am having is pressing on the gas normal (half way ) the car drives fine shifts fine. As soon as I press it 3/4 or all the way the rpm just keeps climbing and will not shift. The car then starts to jerk like hitting the rev limiter. But if you let off the gas and press it agian it always shifts. The car does it when its hot or cold. It shifts from park to drive or reverse fine. I disconnected the battery the other day for hr or so and drove it after that ( about 15 mins) it shift fine so I parked it 2 hrs and showed my wife that I fixed the problem it did the same thing since.

THe person I bought the car from said the trans shop looked at it and said it was something exturnal. I dont know I have not taken the car to get looked at.

We drove the car from Dallas to Denver with no problems, even with the car doing that.

PLEASE HELP IF SOMEONE HAS AN ANSWER

THANKS
JAK

Check the Throttle Sensor...it caused a similar error in my sister-in-law's car ('00 ES300) and after Lexus installed a new tranny, new ECU, etc... they finally found that it was the sensor...
