I'm in Kalihi now, but grew up in Moiilili by Star Market.

I did a sway bar change with my friend on his 03 Matrix. I'll check my ES if it's similar. I am going to try install myself because 1) I don't know of shops and 2) I like mechanical work and always learning from doing.

I read your other post about having a dealer install your struts and sway.....yeah, the struts are in close proximity to the sway bar, but the installs are independent of each other. When we did the Matrix, we didn't even touch the struts.

First thing first.....I'm going to order that rear sway bar.

the trd one has hood clearance issues... do a search, one member here posted pic of how to cut parts of the hood support to make the bar fit

I should try READING for a change......George didn't get a TRD solara strut tower brace, he got the stock one.

Back to the "Toy" store (Toyota parts dept) for the stock brace. From searching this board, the stock one should not have fitment problems.

george

I ordered the rear sway bar for my 93 aobut 2 months ago and was just getting arond to putting it on. Its a whiteline just like yours.

But the shop told me monday that it wont fit. so I dont know what I am going to do now, I think I got the wrong one or something.

I have a couple of questions and comments

what is the other bar in the pic for! I only have one and it is for the rear. I did get the front one off of ebay the chrome style and it fit good with no clearance issues.

post us about the handling.

let me know if you have any problems with fit, I think I may try another shop.

thanks and let us know.

Chuck
