what type of wood is in the factory es for a '92? I might be custom making a piece for my new head unit's dash kit that doesnt match so i need to know what the name of the wood is. Thanks in advance.

California Burl Walnut is the type of wood used on the 92-01 ES (with the exception of the 00-01 Platinum/Coach editions that had maple), I'd describe the stain as a medium brown.

thanks a lot. I am going to try and get some of that wood and have one of my technology teachers make a cutout with the laser thing to fit over the dash kit. From there i will go to staining.... ect. Thanks again.

Yep, the 96 and 99 Coach Editions had the same California Burl Walnut, just more of it. The 96 had additional wood around the window controls, and the 99 had additional wood on the dash/vents (since wood was standard around the window switches in the '99s already).
