Default coloring taillights?

I keep noticing people on here with smoked tails, or purely red ones, highly interested. Please share how to do this!

Thanks,
Derrick

XenonES3 has the all-red tails, he used (at least initially) translucent red taillamp repair tape to cover up the amber strip.

you can use red tape (tacky), translucent red paint or black paint - go to michaels or hobby lobby or some craft store, i think krylon makes it... its like a glass staining paint

If I didn't want the smoked tail anymore after doing it, or say I made a mistake or something... Would I be able to remove it?
