Transmission Fluid?

Transmission Fluid?
I know that the transmission fluid is just drain and fill for my 94 but how much work is really involved in that. Are we talking like changing the oil or is it more complicated than all that? If i cant do it at home what trans fluid does everyone reccommend? Thanks

A drain and fill is very much like changing your oil, pull the plug, catch the drop (probably about 2 qt), replace the plug and refill., A flush is another beast all together.
If your book say to use T-II or T-IV then use T-IV. If if says dextron then you can pick any meeting that spec.

If you want a "complete" fluid change you will need to take it to a place that has a transmission flushing machine & you can do a 100% flush. If you choose to do that, it's a good idea to clean the screen mesh & replace the gasket. I just did it on my ES and no leaks & a big difference in the shifting quality (and it was smooth before I did this service).

I'm not 100% sure about your 94, but mine takes 4 for just a straight drain & fill, but a lot more for a complete flush which I did. They should have that info if you call your Lexus dealer to make sure.
