I was just wondering if anybody ever brought their car to a body shop just to fix minor dings and dents. If so how much was the estimate. Also people have a tendency to hit my car when im parked! Both times ive walked out from a supermarket notice someone has backed up into my car and scratching my paint. And just recently somebody hit the front right panel and leaving some scratches and dent. Both times i was not there to witness any incident so it was basically a dent and run!!!! I was just wondering if anybody has ever taken it to the body shop to get these type of damages detailed on their car. Finals are coming up and I have no time to take it in for an estimate. If it is cheap i will prolly do it, but if its expensive im gonna leave it as is. Thanks in advance.

I agree with HB. Try & park out of the way like at the back of the parking lot & walk it.....the good weather is almost here to boot
just a suggestion.

For small scratches and paint blotches, you can use a product called SCRATCH-OUT. It comes in a small yellow bottle.....$3-5 in drug stores and auto parts shops that carry it. It has a very light abrasive that will do a good job taking out surface dings that aren't too deep. It will take out the discolored paint smears that other doors leave in parking lots. Obiously, it won't take out dents or DEEP scraches...you'll need either a Dent-removal service or a body shop for that. You use a soft cloth and rub in in like wax...then wipe it off...but make sure the surface is clean. You may need to rub hard or use it twice for tough stuff.
In some cases your insurance comprehensive will cover parking-lot damage if it is significant enough.
