**** is an Australian term for "self pleasure".. Depending on the situation in which it is called for. It is directed at someone in either a tongue in cheek, or derogatory form..
My comment was tongue in cheek, but was meant as a particular items value not being true to the actual items worth.. In saying this, my wanting to buy something is not dictated by either the price of it, or what badge it has on it..
This is not a term that was meant in order of offending a person because of their particular taste, rather my way of expressing that if its got 4 wheels and an engine, it is simply a car. The fact that it is a Lexus, BMW, or MB, should not be reason enough to say that one is better than the other because it has been priced in a higher bracket, or looks a certain way?...I for one like some BMW's , Ferari's, MB's, ect...
If I sit in a car, I want to know that I can drive for 4 hours, and know that when I attempt to get to where I am going, that the car will one, get me there, and 2, I will be comfortable for the whole trip.. A Ferari for example may be a nice car, but for say $250,000, I really dont think it is what I want to pay my hard earned money for, when I can drive in a nice comfortable vehicle for the tenth of the price..
So to say that something is better because Ferari or Porche did or didnt do it, to me is total nonsence.. With the amount of different variety of cars on the market these days, they are just as average as the next car, but have certain aspects that make them different from a different model or catagory.. The fact that people have the money to buy them at the prices they are set, means that they meet a certain criteria. But they simply dont dictate fashion or trends. Not by a long way!...
Sorry guys, couldnt stop typing....

You never see two tone colors on ferraris, porsches, and bmw's, I wonder why...

What ever thats stock.
The es300 for example, is very curvy, and rounded. The lower part of the car on 2nd and 3rd gen curves inward a lot especially with those plastic body panels...definitly need two tone to break it up, and make it look better.

That is like saying I prefer whatever they give me, I'll take. You gotta give your car a little personal touch sometimes. Make it belong to you. And if that means repainting the car's bottom half to match the top, then so be it.
That being said, I prefer the two-tone.

When I had my ES300, it was two tone white with that silverish lower panels. I didn't really care for it. Funny though my LS400 is the same white with the silverish lower panels and although I still prefer one color, I don't mind it as much. I don't know why that is. Maybe it is because the LS400 is larger.
For interiors though I like them either way. Two tone interiors has to use the right color combinations though.

I prefer what ever that is stock...that doesn't have to mean USD spec parts
And as far as paint, our cars looks like any other 4 door mid sized Japanese sedan with one tone color IMO. I've seen it up close and I guess the only ones that look good are the black and white colors in one tone...although if I had these colors I would still represent the two tone.
I always felt that when Lexus introduced the ES with two-tone it differentiates from all other cars in its class. Thats why I liked it
I feel that my ES belongs to me regardless of the two or one tone.

^^ Truer words were never spoken! ^^
IMO the older model ES wouldn't be an ES without the two-tone. And as usual, Lexus set the standard for design and style.
