coil overs
Hey, I have seen one or two posts of es300’s on coil-overs but have not heard much on there likes or dislikes. My question is if anyone thinks it is a good idea to get coil-over or just springs and struts for an es? I know price is a big difference but is it worth the money? I am planning on lowering my car soon and I am leaning towards coil-over because my driving conditions vary big time and would like the versatility. On the other hand springs and struts would not hurt me as much on the wallet but I am worried on ground clearance from past experiences ...dilemma, dilemma.
Your input would be much appreciated, thanks

I don't know if I would spend 1g's on coilovers....But that's really up to you.
I think springs would suffice, unless of course you're a doctor and can afford the coils.

Well, I'm not a doctor but I do know how to save up money. The thing is that I had a lowered car before in the past and I cracked my tranny from bottoming out. I am just a little paranoid that’s all.
I guess my question should be for all the es owners with lowered vehicles.... How do you like your ride? Do you guys regret it or not? And most important, how careful do you need to be when, say, making a turn into a street? do you guys bust one of them 5 miles an hour turns just to not scrape your car or what?

That sway bar sounds like a great idea for a mod! I think I might do that before I lower my ride.
Thanks George for the info. I was hoping more people would reply because I am not sure if I should go for the 1in drop or more..

Really, that sounds real cheap! but I haven't read up on those coilovers yet. Are they any good?
I am still debating weather or not I should get the coilover or springs but I am not in a rush to get them. If I do get coilovers I was thinking of getting the solara's tein SS, the cheapest I've seen them go for 1280. I just hope they fit.
