In looking for parts, it appears that Lexus made changes to the ES300 midway through 1999. Apparently I need different brakes pads if the car was manufactured after August. How to do I determine which month Lexus manufactured my car?

To find the mfg date of your ES, look for a white sticker on driver's side door sill. The top right of the sticker should say the month/year in "XX/YY" format.

Cars built after 08/99 are likely model year 2000 cars. If you have a '99, it was probably built 08/98-08/99.
