Default What pad works the best.?

I have a question about my cross drill rotors. I hear that these kind of rotor tend to squee~~~ more because it's not creating enough heat?? is that true?? I kinda believe that because I happen to change pads(should be quite as the shop told me but I don't know the brand) and it's so loud, I got so shame.... so what brake pad will work the best with cross drill rotors???

George

Thankz

I had cross drilled rotors with akebono pro-act ceramcics(same as dealer) and didn't have any squeeks at all. I'm running slotted right now with akebono and not getting any squeeks. Also did they replace the brake hardware? Sometimes worn out hardware can cause a brake squeek. If they put semi-metallic pads then that can be why they squeek. The pads have to be ceramic. Another reason why they squeek would be if the pads and/or rotors got glazed from overheating., prob from having a semi-mettalic pad on.

The hardware is the metal shims that go between the pad and the caliper. Not the shims on the back of the pad but the metal clips that the pads slide on. It can also be the shims on the back of the pads causing them to squeel. If not properly lubed they can cause tiny vibrations which in turn produces a squeel. Do the brakes squeel all the time or only when you apply the brakes? It;'s always a good idea to replace the hardware with every brake job and lubricate the hardware, shims, and the caliper guide bolts.

No they don't come with hardware. Carlson makes brake hardware. Or you can get them from the dealer.
