Default Gas left on ES300 after light on

How much gas will be left in the tank outta total capacity 18.5G after low fuel light on ? Little scare if it keeps coming on and off though you know that you have some in tank. Not sure how much.

A good estimate of how much longer you can drive with the low level light on is about 50 miles (city or highway). Depending on where you are located, you can estimate from that figure how many gallons there are left in your tank.

when my light comes on and I have driven the "range" miles down to 0, I have between 1.5 and 2 gallons left in the tank.

lexusk8 is very close with using the 50 miles as an indicator.

best way is to not let it get to the light.

On High way makes sense, in city knowing you have some in tank and rushing to gas pump doesn't make sense... may be...

Put some gas in that sucker!

Running in low fuel conditions causes in tank pumps to overheat and prematurely fail.

All ES300's have 18.5 gallon tank.

The ES250's had a smaller tank, something like 15-16.5 or so. I have a 92 which definately has an 18.5 gallon tank.
