My brother just purchased a '93 ES 300 and we're going to attempt to force feed it. I've read the feedback on the tranny and the standard internals so what we're going to do is replace any and all seals, gaskets, bolts and clean the engine and tranny thoroughly. We're going to keep the boost level low at first and see how it behaves and tear the motor apart to see how the insides are doing.
We were thinking of a twin turbo setup but then decided on a single. Garrett t4/3 w/ Spearco FMIC is the setup we've chosen.
If anybody has done this before or done some math, whatever help that you can provide is greatly appreciated. I have a '02 IS so I have tons of online resources but for a '93 ES - we're basically SOL.

You Could buy a TRD Supercharger for the Camry/Es 300 Engines. Not that its worth it spending $5,000 that way. I mean its your call, but with all that money I rather buy a Lexus with Rear wheel drive and make it faster.

We thought about supercharging initially but said the same thing with the money factor. The turbo setup is going to cost about the same and give us more flexibility with messing with boost and all. I tried convincing him to sell it but I think he really wants to do it for the holy **** factor. Thanks for the feedback though.
BTW, nice Cressida signature. I still miss my '91 MK3 Turbo (BHG and all)

The ES300 was never factory-boosted for a reason.........too many people would have complained about torque steer, even with the ES'es rather smooth automatic transmission absorbing some of it.

1mz turbo
1mz Video
1mz cruise
1mz burnout-1

These three videos are abit more current. If they don't work, it's because their bandwidth has been exceeded.
burnout-2
1mz eats an M3
1mz vs 13 sec audi 1.8T (Just for Eric!)
***
The car is currently down for April as he is going insane on the turbo...
